  3. Peer Review Process

To uphold the highest standards of academic quality and integrity, all submitted papers to ICAFES 2025 will undergo a double-blind peer-review process. The review is designed to ensure fairness, scientific rigor, and relevance to the conference themes.

  4. Review Workflow

All submitted manuscripts undergo a structured and ethical peer-review process designed to uphold the quality, originality, and academic integrity of the conference proceedings. The review process begins with the submission of full papers through the designated online platform.

In the initial stage, each manuscript is subject to a desk evaluation by the editorial team, which assesses its relevance to the conference scope, adherence to formatting guidelines, and basic scientific merit. As part of this preliminary screening, all submissions are also subjected to a plagiarism check using a similarity detection tool (e.g., Turnitin). Manuscripts exceeding the acceptable similarity threshold (generally <15%) will be returned to the authors for revision.

Submissions that pass both the editorial screening and similarity check proceed to the double-blind peer-review stage, where they are evaluated by two independent reviewers. In this stage, the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed to ensure objectivity and impartiality.

  5. Evaluation Criteria

    • Relevance to the conference theme
    • Originality and scientific contribution
